C-2-5
Nathan Nye appears in the record of the discontinuance of a road in 1830, but was not mentioned when the road was laid out in 1799. He is likely the tenant of George Dodge who owned the property after 1815.
Born in Stoddard in 1795, Nathan married Lydia Robbins in 1820. Lydia was the oldest child of Noah and Lydia Robbins who had been born a few hundred feet north of here at C-3-5. It is likely that Nathan built this modest home here between 1815 and 1820. They had one daughter before moving to Stoddard in about 1830.
