Joseph Brown

Thought by Wadsworth to be an outbuilding in the William Parker Farm, it was more likely the home of Joseph Brown who purchased several lots in this part of Packersfield in 1788. He sold part of the property to William Parker and the balance, in 1793, to two Boston Merchants, Wilson Pratt and Fish Boot “with the dwelling house and barn thereon standing.” It is not clear who lived there next. The building does not appear on the 1858 county map.
