The third child of Bethuel and Deborah (E-1-2), Almon was born before Bethuel started his mills. He married Phoebe Sheldon, daughter of Ezra and Sally Sheldon (E-3-1) in 1826. They settled at first in Marlow, New Hampshire where their three children were born. By 1835, they had come home to Harrisville and built this brick house beside the canal. He became a partner in the upper mill of the growing Harris mill complex. He left in 1847 to begin his own mill in Pennacook to start his own mill.
