Allen Breed, a carpenter by trade, came to Packersfield in 1781 and built the house here. He and his wife, Ruth, had four children born in Nelson.
He sold to John Burnap (D-4-2) who added this to his holdings but did not live here. Burnap sold it in 1813 to Noah Robbins from Templeton, Massachusetts who lived here until he died in 1841.
Noah married Lydia Felt, daughter of Jonathan and Martha Felt in Packersfield in 1797. The young couple may have lived with the Felts at first and moved here as tenants of John Upton in 1802. They had nine children. Lydia died in 1827 and Noah in 1841. They were probably the last inhabitants here. Both are buried in in the village cemetery.
